GLO SAYS SUBSCRIBERS TO ENJOY WI-FI DATA CONNECTIONS

Subscribers on the Glo network will now enjoy data connections in and out of Nigeria on their smartphones without switching networks and at affordable rates in over 40 countries around the globe, the telecoy has said. This is through the new Wi-Fi roaming service introduced by Globacom for subscribers who travel out of Nigeria. According to a press statement issued in Lagos on Tuesday and signed by Globacom’s Chief Commercial Director, Mr. Ajay Mathur, the Glo Wi-Fi Roaming will provide data connections for subscribers through as many as 300,000 internet hotspots spread over 42 countries. The statement said that subscribers on the prepaid and postpaid platforms will experience exceptionally fast internet service on their mobile devices or tablets in public places such as airports, hotels, restaurants, stadia and coffee shops in the designated countries where the offer is available. “The Glo Wi-Fi roaming plans are like entry passes which grant our subscribers access to their favorite social media applications, websites or emails on any Wi-Fi-enabled mobile device or tablet. It automatically connects them to thousands of hotspots when they travel,” the statement explained.
